Carl Sawyer died September 10, 1913 at Glenwood Springs, Colorado where he and his wife were spending the summer. Cause of death was heart disease. He was a longtime Sedgwick resident and businesman. He wasborn October 27, 1854 at Fon du Lac Wisconsin and came to Kansas in 1877. He married Louie C. Buck at Newton in 1879.
The body was returned to Sedgwick for funeral and burial.
