Bansemer, John
Halstead Independent
John Bansemer was born in 1839 in Newstadteswalt, Germany. He was orphaned and reared in West Prussia. In 1860 he became a soldier in the Guard de Corps Regiment iin Posdam, a body guard of the King. He served at the coronation of King William 1 in Konigsburg. He came to America in 1868, coming to Rolla, Missouri. He came to a farm west of Halstead June 1, 1879.
He married Amelia Fleschner. Ten Children were born to this union, some being, Robert, Edward, Mrs. George Wise, Misses Laura and Luanna.
Funeral had a German sermon at the Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Halstead.
