Earla J. Critchfield, 84, passed away Septembr 17, 2013 at Newton Medical Center. She was born January 14, 1929 in Goessel to Edward and Augusta Neufeld Frey. They preceded her in death. She was a member of Hesston Mennonite Church. She married Richard L. Schmidt. He preceded her in death.
On September 17, 1960 she married Hershel Critchfield. He passed away March 30, 1989.
Survivors: Robert (Tammy) Schmidt of Wichita; Darrell (Jane) Schmidt of Lawrence; Norman (Denise) Critchfield of Hesston; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; one brother, Marlin (Deane) Frey of Newton and one sister, Nila (Duane) Chambers of Wichita. She was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond (Luetta) Frey.
Memorial services will be Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Hesston Mennonite Church with Pastor John Murray officiating. Private burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery.
