Willis R. Milligan, 96, died Saturday October 12, 2013 at Clearwater Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 27. 1913 at ElPaso, Illinois to Robert J. and Cora Westlund, Milligan. He retired from Cessna Aircraft where he worked as a tool coordinator.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and was a member of Hicks-Davison American Legion Post 268 Sedgwick. Other memberships include Sedgwick United Methodist Church, Bestor G. Brown Masonic Lodge, Wichita Consistory, Midian Shrine and was Past Worthy Patron of Rose Douglas Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
He was an avid golfer and was a longtime member of Wedgewood Golf Course.
On January 17, 1958 he married Iva Lynam Best at Wichita. She preceded him in death on October 9, 2013.
Survivors: son, Robert Milligan, Wichita; daughters, Pam (Bill) Sullens, Marietta, Georgia; Joyce (Vernon) Kafka, Wichita; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 7 great-great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Best; grandchildren, Malia Sullens and Cory Best and a brother, Charles Milligan.
Graveside service was Tuesday at Hillside Cemetery Sedgwick, Kansas
