Obituary

   Charlels S. Mace died on the farm that he had occupied for 41 years.  He was born in West Virginia in 1836.  He married Margaret Gum.  They came to this area in September of 1872 from Hamilton, Missouri.

   He was the father of ten children; four are deceased: Squire; Herbert; Nora and Grant.

Survivors are his widow; children, Mrs. J. Bierschbaugh; Mattie and George of Halstead; James of California;Chester of Hutchinson and T.  H. of California;

   Funeral services were held at the home.  Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
