Beverly Jo Hilberling was born August 4, 1935 in Sedgwick to Blaine and Naomi Thomas. She died Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 78.
Beverly was reared and educated in Sedgwick and was a graduate of Sedgwick High School. She married Victor Hilberling in Halstead June 14, 1935. They had made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1966 before moving to Owasso in 1993, Beverly spent most of her working life as a homemaker and caring for her family. She was a faithful member of St. Henry's Catholic Church in Owasso. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including quilting and watching and collecting butterflies. She had a special relationship with the neiighborhood kids, giving them bottles of water and candy.
Loving family members include; Sons, Patrick Hilberling and wife Jeanne, of Tulsa and Michael Hilberling and wife Denise of Giddings, Texas; daughter, Teresa Koch and husband Ronnie, of D'Hanis, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 3 greatgrandchildren; brother Bill Thomas of Augusta and sister Lorna Preston of Newton. She was preceded in death by her parent; husband; grandson, Josh Hilberling; two sisters, Mable Staamback and Judy Spencer and three brothers, Jack Thomas; Jerry Thomas and Allen Thomas.
Services were held November 13, 2013 at the Salem United Methodist Church in Newton. Committal services and interment were at Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick.
