Henry Tangeman
HESSTON -- Henry Tangeman, 99, retired
farmer and former co-owner of Tangeman-Jantz Implement Co. in
McPherson, died Thursday (April 2, 1998) at Schowalter Villa in
Hesston.
He was born Aug. 14, 1998, on a farm in
Highland Township in Harvey County to Henry W. and Nora Nebergall
Tangeman. He married Lillian M. Work on May 7, 1919. She died Sept.
14, 1980. He married Lillian H. Schmidt Dreier on May 15, 1981. She
died Aug. 8, 1992.
He was a member of the Highland Trinity
United Church of Christ.
Survivors include: two daughters,
Bonnie Goering of North Newton and Donna Campbell of Grass Valley,
Calif.; a step son, Rolland Dreier of Hesston; a step-daughter,
Marjorie Kasitz of Hesston; eight grandchildren; 12
great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; seven
step-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a son,
Dwight Tangeman of Wichita; a step-son, Robert J. Dreier; and a
sister, Fern Goetschius of Wichita.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in
the Schowalter Villa Chapel with the Rev. Lyle C. Albright
officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery in rural Newton.
Friends may call at the Schowalter
Villa Chapel from 12:30 until service time on Monday. The Miller
Funeral Home in Hesston is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be sent to the Highland
Trinity United Church of Christ Scholarship Fund or Schowalter Villa
in care of the funeral home.
