Lillian H Dreier Tangeman
HESSTON-- Lillian H. Dreier Tangeman, 89, retired Shadyside Grade School teacher, died Saturday, (Aug.8, 1992) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
Tangeman was born Dec. 16, 1902 in Whitewater to Jacob J. and Mary Kliewer Schmidt. She married Roy William Dreier May 30, 1923 in Newton. He died July 8, 1973. She married Henry Tangeman May 15, 1981 in Hesston. He survives.
Tangeman was a member of Highland Trinity United Church of Christ.
Other survivors include a son, Rolland Dreier of Hesston; a daughter, Marjorie Kasitz of Hesston; two stepdaughters, Bonnie Goering of North Newton and Donna Campbell of Grass Valley, Calif.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren and one step great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert J. Dreier; a stepson Dwight Tangeman; and three sisters, Selma Schmidt, Minnie Schmidt and Ruth Schmidt.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Schowalter Villa Chapel with the Rev. Lyle E Albright officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in rural Newton.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Memorials may be sent to the Highland Trinity United Church of Christ Scholarship Fund or Renovation of Sanctuary Fund in care of the funeral home.
