Harold Klassen
VALLEY CENTER -- Harold Klassen, 53,
died Monday (April 6, 1998) at Columbia Halstead Hospital.
He was born Aug. 14, 1944, in Goessel
to Christoph and Marie Boese Klassen.
He was born with Down's Syndrome and
was one of the charter students at Northview Opportunity School. He
lived in several nursing homes in this area. He lived in New Horizons
in Valley Center for the last 13 years. He was a member of the
Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel.
Survivors include: three brothers,
Eldon Klassen of Wichita, Ruben Klassen of rural Newton and Anton
Klassen of Moundridge; five nephews; and two nieces.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Friday at Miller Funeral Home in Goessel with the Rev. Mark Wiens
officiating. Burial will be in the Alexanderwohl Cemetery near
Goessel. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral
home.
Memorials have been established with
the New Horizons or Special Olympics in care of the funeral home.
