Julio James 'J.J.' Mosqueda Sr.
TOPEKA -- Julio James "J.J."
Mosqueda Sr., 51, clerk for the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe
Railroad for 30 years, died Monday (April 6, 1998) at St. Francis
Medical Center in Topeka.
He was born Jan. 8, 1947, in Newton to
Julio Antonio and Emelia Rincon Mosqueda. He married Vicki Bowen
Sept. 14, 1974, in Newton. She survives of Topeka.
He was a member of Our Lady of
Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton and Topeka and also a member of
the Francisco I. Madero Society in Newton. He attended Newton schools
and was a graduate of Newton High School.
Other survivors include: four sons,
Shawn Mosqueda of San Antonio, Julio James Mosqueda Jr. of Newton and
Jason Patrick Mosqueda and James Paul Mosqueda, both of Topeka; four
brothers, Hector Mosqueda of Peabody, Paul Mosqueda of Chula Vista,
Calif., and Armando "Pete" Mosqueda and Michael Mosqueda,
both of Newton; seven sisters, Susan Mosqueda of Newton, Mary Pacheco
of Peabody, Rosalinda Galle of Clearwater, Fla., Isidra Boroughs of
San Diego, Rebecca Garza of Sacramento, Calif., and Helen Corona and
Olivia Goodall, both of Newton; and four grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at
Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ken Schuckman
officiating. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of
Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton with Fathers John Hotze and
Daniel L. Gardner officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's
Cemetery in Newton.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today
and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Memorials have been established with
the Center for Basic Cancer Research in care of the funeral home.
