George Basil Anderson
BEMIDJI, Minn. -- George Basil
Anderson, 87, died Monday (April 6, 1998) at his home in Bemidji.
He was born Feb. 7, 1911. He married
Florence Lillian Kincaid. She preceded him in death after 58 years of
marriage. He married Eilene Claassen in 1996. She survives of
Bemidji.
He was founder of KJRG and KOEZ radio
and the Glorious Gospel Hour. He founded KJRG in 1953 and KJRG FM in
1958, which was later changed to KOEZ. He was the speaker on the
Glorious Gospel Hour for more than 50 years which was heard on KJRG
as well as several other stations. He supported many missionaries
throughout the years.
Other survivors include five children,
16 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.
Friday at Denver.
Memorials have been established with
the Glorious Gospel Hour in care of KJRG 950 AM, P.O. Box 567,
Newton, KS 67114. The funds will go for continued support of
missionaries.
