Alice Margaret (Corman) Cornelius

   Robert L. "Bob" Cornelius, 84, passed away November 3, 2013 at Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita.  He was born in Whitewater on March 23, 1929 to George and Alice Cornelius.  He was a retired Firefighter with the Newton  Fire  Department.

   Survivors: sons: Robert (Gina) of Kansas City, Missouri and Randy (Chauncey Wyant) of Whitewater; his daughters, Sharlene Cook of Wichita; Karen Patersonn (Tony) of Augusta and Carol Altay (Melvin LaCoe) of Sterling; sisters, Mildred Brown and Wilma Carter both of Brainerd and numerous grandchildren and their families.

   Services will be Wednesday November 6 at Furley United Methodist Church in Furley.  Interment in the Whitewater Cemetery.

   Memorial fund has been established for the Newton Fire Department.
