Dallas Kaye Matzenbacher, 59, died Monday, December 9, 2013 at Newton Medical Center. He was born October 15, 1954 in Newton. Dallas was raised and attended schools in Newton, after which he spent time in the military.
He married Debra Lee Schultz on December 6, 1985 in Newton. They lived in Tulsa for several years where Dallas had done construction work.
Survivors: wife Debra Schultz; son Arron Schultz Matzenbacher; daughter, Careth Lee Matzenbacher, all of Tulsa; brother, Mike Sutherland, Mark Sutherland and Greg Sutherland, all of Newton; uncle and aunt, Glen and Hazel Spielman of Newton.
Dallas was preceded in death by his father, Bill Matzenbacher and mother, Jean Louiise Spielman Sutherland.
A time of remembrance will be December 19 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton. There will be no visitation, as cremation has been effected.
