Betty J. Sheffler, 84, died December 3, 2013 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichital. She was born January 16, 1929 in Halstead to William and Vivian Carter Sheffler in Halstead, Kansas..
Betty was retired from the grocery business where she worked in the produce department. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors: brothers, Robert L. Sheffler and wife, Linda, of Wichita and Melvin E Sheffler of Newton; three sisters, Lee Ann Newell of Newton; Kay Lincoln, Sun City, Arizona and Judith Cullen, Newton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers and sisters; Bill Sheffler; Keith Sheffler, Ruby Church; Vivian Smith; Phylliss Botterwick; Erileen Sigals; Ieleen Spangler and Marcelis Sheffler.
Funeral services were held December 9, 2013 at Petersen Funeral Home.
