Minnie E. Colvin
MOUNDRIDGE -- Minnie E. Colvin, 88,
homemaker, died Wednesday (April 29, 1998) at Moundridge Manor.
She was born Dec. 11, 1909, in rural
Moundridge to William F. Schneider and Mary (Jantz) Schneider. She
married Amos C. Colvin on Oct. 8, 1958, in Newton. He preceded her in
death Nov. 28, 1969.
She was a member of the Church of God
in Christ, Mennonite in Hesston. She was a graduate of Maple Grove
School in rural Moundridge and she worked for Bethel Hospital,
Halstead Nursing Home and the Chuck House.
Survivors include: two brothers, Albert
Schneider of Moundridge and Clarence Schneider of Hesston. She also
was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Schneider and Daniel
Schneider; and one sister, Clara Schneider.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday at Meridian Mennonite Church in rural Hesston with Eldon
Wenger, Franklin Wenger and Shawn Giesel officiating. Burial will be
in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to
9 p.m. Friday at Petersen Funeral Home. Family will greet friends
from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established with
Mercy Hospital in Moundridge in care of the funeral home.
