Shirley Patricia Marshall
VALLEY CENTER -- Shirley Patricia
Marshall, 52, custodian at First United Presbyterian Church in Newton
for three years, died Wednesday (May 20, 1998) at her residence.
She was born March 19, 1946, in Newton
to Patrick and Edythe (Anderson) Rossiter. She married Henry L.
Marshall on Aug. 8, 1986, in Valley Center. He survives of the home.
She attended Hall's Chapel AME Church
in Newton.
Other survivors include: three sons,
Kevin Giles and Julian Giles of the home, and Darron Giles of
Halstead; four step-daughters, Syntha Townsend of Temple, Texas,
Rosemary Marshall, Henretta Marshall and Marian Ann Marshall, all of
Wichita; one brother, Floyd Wright of Newton; three sisters, Karolyn
Ford of Oklahoma City, Helen McClellan of Newton and Gloria Rossiter
of Oakland, Calif.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death
by one son, Steven John Giles; one daughter, Diana Lynn Giles; and
one sister, Sylvia Walker.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday at First United Presbyterian Church in Newton with the Revs.
Shirley Heermance and Leonard Gray, both of Hutchinson. Burial will
be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
the Central Homecare and Hospice in care of the funeral home.
