Berneice K. Choguill
Berneice K. Choguill, 94, died today
(Nov. 9, 1999) at Newton Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 4, 1904, in rural
Mulhall, Okla., to Rev. John and Katherine (Williams) Coslett. She
married Rev. Orlo Choguill June 25, 1929, in Kirksville, Mo. He
preceded her in death May 23, 1998.
She taught high school in Kansas and
Nebraska. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Topeka and
PEO Chapter CS.
She and her husband served pastorates
in Ellsworth, Emporia, Topeka, Hays and Indianapolis.
Survivors include: two daughters, Dr.
Mary Alice Halverson of Yankton, S.D., and Dr. Catherine Goldsmith of
Goodwell, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one
brother, Paul Coslett.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m.
Thursday at Newton Presbyterian Manor with the Rev. Jim Anderson from
First Presbyterian Church officiating. Graveside services will be 11
a.m. Friday in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt with the Revs.
Dale Goldsmith and Janet Forts Goldsmith officiating.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
Newton Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund in care of the funeral
home.
