Henry Scrivner
WHITEWATER -- Henry Scrivner, 91,
retired farmer and stockman, died Wednesday (June 10, 1998) at
Newton.
He was born April 9, 1907, on a farm in
rural Elbing to William Grandon Scrivner and Mary Jane (Olinger)
Scrivner. He married Dorothy Helen Burnet on June 3, 1941, in
Wichita. She survives of the home.
He was a member of The Federated Church
in Whitewater, Masonic Lodge in Peabody, Wichita Consistory, Wichita
Shrine, Eastern Star in Newton and Remington Historical Society. He
lived all of his life in the Whitewater and Elbing community.
Other survivors include: one son, Dick
Scrivner of Boise, Idaho; two daughters, Betty Cerny of Narka and
Millie Barton of Lakewood, Colo.; one sister, Dixie Eberly of
Wichita; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.
Saturday at The Federated Church in Whitewater with Pastor Scott
Martin officiating. Burial will be in The Pleasant View Cemetery in
Elbing. Friends may call until 8:30 p.m. today at Bob Lamb Funeral
Home in Whitewater. Family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
today at the funeral home.
