Jean Marie Harrington
STILLWATER, Okla. -- Jean Marie
Harrington, 79, homemaker, died Wednesday (June 24, 1998) at
Stillwater Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 5, 1919, in Newton to
Julius and Elizabeth (Tingstrum) Trouslot. She married James Dennis
Harrington on March 30, 1940, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in
Newton. He preceded her in death June 13, 1991.
She was a 1937 graduate of Newton High
School. They moved from Newton to Stillwater, Okla., in 1940, where
they have lived since. She helped with the boy and girl scouts,
F.F.A., and part-time as a volunteer for Judith Karman Hospice.
She was a member of the Stillwater Art
Guild, Women's Altar Society and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church
since 1940. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, arts and crafts.
Survivors include: two sons, Dennis C.
Harrington of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Robert J. Harrington of
Stillwater, Okla.; one daughter, Kathleen O'Loughlin of Sedgwick; two
brothers, J.C. Trouslot of Sedgwick and Burk Trouslot of Newton; one
sister, Liz Hill of Furley; six grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one son,
Patrick R. Harrington; one sister, Winnie Maxnier; and one half
brother, Jack Rutherford.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater with
Father Bob Schlitt officiating. Burial will be in the Fairlawn
Cemetery in Stillwater. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Strode
Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater.
