Richard J. Flickinger
MOUNDRIDGE -- Richard J. Flickinger,
81, retired farmer, died Saturday (June 27, 1998) at Newton Medical
Center.
He was born March 20, 1917, in Murdock
to John H. and Mary (Vogt) Flickinger. He married Verna R. Goering on
June 9, 1937, in Moundridge. She survives of Moundridge.
He was a lifetime Moundridge area
resident. He was a member of the Eden Mennonite Church in rural
Moundridge and former trustee of the church.
Other survivors include: one daughter,
JoLene Kaufman of McPherson; two sisters, Della Stucky of Peabody and
Ann Gehring of Moundridge; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by one granddaughter, Crystal Kaufman; three brothers, Fred
Flickinger, Herb Flickinger and Walter Flickinger; and one sister,
Ida Stucky.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday at Eden Mennonite Church with Pastors Lee Lever and Donovan
Graber officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Church Cemetery in
rural Moundridge.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at
Harder-Kaufman Funeral Home in Moundridge with family greeting
friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established with
the Mennonite Central Committee or the Memorial Home in care of the
funeral home.
