LaVera M. Rambo
LaVera M. Rambo, 78, 203 S.W. 12th,
owner and operator of LaVera's Beauty Shop, died Monday (July 6,
1998) at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus.
She was born Feb. 14, 1920, in Lahoma,
Okla., to Herman E. Teske and Anna (Frey) Teske. She married Clifford
Rambo on June 1, 1947, at Enid, Okla. He preceded her in death Aug.
4, 1991.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran
Church in Newton. She enjoyed playing Bingo and doing all kinds of
crafts, especially making Christmas decorations.
Survivors include: one son, Alan Rambo
of Goessel; one daughter, Jana Rambo of Wichita; and two
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.
Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Tom Harmon from Risen
Savior Lutheran Church in Wichita officiating. Burial will be in the
Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
Memorials have been established with
the Zion Lutheran Church and Friendly Acres Retirement Community in
care of Petersen Funeral Home.
