Fred A. Krehbiel
Fred A. Krehbiel, 84, died Saturday
(July 11, 1998) at Newton Medical Center. He was the father of Leann
Nickel of Newton.
He was born Sept. 12, 1913, in Pretty
Prairie to Peter J. and Rosa (Graber) Krehbiel. He married Edna
Kaufman on Oct. 24, 1937, in Pretty Prairie. She preceded him in
death March 22, 1984.
He was a lifetime Pretty Prairie
resident and a retired manager of Security Grain Elevator in Pretty
Prairie. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church in Pretty
Prairie.
Other survivors include: one daughter,
Kay Thiessen of Decatur, Texas; two brothers, Bud Krehbiel of Provo,
Utah, and Joe Krehbiel of Pretty Prairie; seven grandchildren; and
four great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his
parents; one daughter, Joann Wedel; six brothers, John Krehbiel,
Irvin Krehbiel, Herman Krehbiel, Harvey Krehbiel, Elmer Krehbiel and
Clarence Krehbiel; and one sister, Edna Flickner.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday at Pretty Prairie First Mennonite Church cemetery followed by
a memorial service at 4 p.m. at the church with Pastors Elmer Wall
and Peter Voran officiating.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today
at Livingston Funeral Home in Kingman and from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday at the church.
Memorials have been established with
Kidron Bethel Health Care Center or The First Mennonite Church in
Pretty Prairie in care of the funeral home.
