James Donnell Roth
James Donnell Roth, 55, of Wichita,
died Saturday (July 18, 1998) near Florence.
He was born Jan. 3, 1943, in
Williamsburg, Iowa, to Vernon and Lois (Kauffman) Roth. He graduated
from Hesston Academy in 1960-61, Hesston College in 1964, and Wichita
State University in 1968. He owned and operated several different
businesses, including Midwest Communications and Park Gardens Land
Development before moving to Wichita in 1997 to work with his brother
as vice president/completions manager at Executive Aircraft Corp. in
Newton.
On June 14, 1969, he married Donna
Goertzen at Henderson, Neb. She survives of the home.
Survivors include a son, Christopher of
Lincoln, Neb.; and a daughter, Shanna, of Wichita; one brother,
Lowell of Hesston; three sisters, Joanne Roth of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa,
Becky Roth of Hesston and Marci Huxman of Moundridge; and his mother.
He was preceded in death by his father,
one brother, Phil, and a sister, Brenda.
Tribute will be a part of Stan Roth's
memorial service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hesston Mennonite Church.
Jim's memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Evangelical
Free Church, 2609 S. Blaine, in Grand Island, Neb. Burial will be at
Eastlawn Cemetery, Hesston.
Broadway-Colonial Funeral Home in
Newton will handle local arrangements. Friends may call from 7 to 9
p.m. Tuesday at Hesston Mennonite Church.
Memorials may be sent to the
Evangelical Free Pastoral Training Scholarship Fund in Russia, in
care of the funeral home.
