Pauline L. Scheffler
Pauline L. Scheffler, 82, 1035 S.E.
Third, retired office manager for Dr. Eugene Hwa in Newton, died
Sunday (July 26, 1998) at Kansas Christian Home.
She was born May 10, 1916, in Newton to
Walter and Avis E. (Faylor) Crowl. She married Maxwell A. "Max"
Scheffler on Jan. 17, 1935, in Kansas City, Mo. He preceded her in
death Sept. 18, 1988.
She was a member of the Salem United
Methodist Church, Social Order of the Beauceant No. 6 and also past
President of the Social Order of the Beauceant No. 6, Order of the
Eastern Star and Newton school board for eight years during county
unification, all of Newton.
Survivors include two daughters,
Constance "Coni" Tibbetts of Naples,Fla., and Anne Dorough
of Leeds, Ala.; and four grandchildren. She also was preceded in
death by one son, Dayton Maxwell Scheffler; and one sister, Helen
Edwards.
Memorial services will be at a later
date.

Alzheimer's Association in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
