Venora Diener
HILLSBORO -- Venora Diener, 75, retired
elementary school teacher, died Tuesday (July 28, 1998) at Newton
Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 17, 1922, in Newton
to David Wiebe and Elizabeth (Hiebert) Wiebe. She married Truman
Diener on Sept. 10, 1948, in Newton. He survives of Hillsboro.
She was a member of Trinity Mennonite
Church in Hillsboro where she was a Sunday School teacher.
Other survivors include: two sons, Tim
Diener of Hillsboro and Glen Diener of Newton; one daughter, Ann
Kopper of Garden City; two brothers, Richard Wiebe of Newton and
LeeVern Wiebe of Denver; two sisters, Rosalie Zimmerman and Glenice
Myers, both of Lakewood, Colo.; and four grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by one daughter, Nanette Diener; and two brothers.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m.
Friday at Trinity Mennonite Church with the Rev. Steve Conrad
officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Haven of Rest
Cemetery in Hillsboro. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday
with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hillsboro
Memorial Chapel.
Memorials have been established with
the Mennonite Central Committee in care of the funeral home.
