Guy C. Rucker
GOESSEL -- Guy C. Rucker, 93, retired
rancher, farmer and pumper for Oil Field Cos., died Thursday (Aug. 6,
1998) at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
He was born Jan. 19, 1905, in
Centerville, Iowa, to Fred Guy and Minnie Etta (Peak) Rucker. He
married Iona Lula Bruce on June 16, 1937, in North Platte, Neb. She
preceded him in death April 13, 1998.
He was a member of First Missionary
Church in Newton.
Survivors include: two sons, Blaine
Rucker of Newton and Douglas Rucker of Bartlesville, Okla.; one
daughter, Mary Bastow of Newton; two brothers, Trevice Rucker of Usk,
Wash., and Max Crow of Estero, Fla.; four sisters, Irene Anderson and
Florence Morehead, both of Snohomish, Wash., and Viola Bosse and
Pauline Granberg, both of Everett, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; 17
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He also was
preceded in death by three brothers, Trenton Rucker, Kenny Rucker and
Kermit Rucker.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.
Monday at First Missionary Church with the Revs. Ray Adams and Daniel
Quinlin officiating. Burial will be in the First Missionary Church
Cemetery in rural Elbing. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
First Missionary Church and Bethesda Home in care of the funeral
home.
