Robert Earl Mellott
ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Robert Earl Mellott,
63, consultant and owner of EMT and Associates, died Sunday (Aug. 16,
1998) at his residence in Rockville, Md.
He was born May 18, 1935, in Newton to
Earl L. and Elva Mellott. Earl survives of Wichita. He married Kathy
L. Mellott. She survives.
He was a 1953 graduate of Newton High
School and University of Kansas with degrees in engineering physics
and master's in science. He was a three-sport letterman at NHS,
playing on the school's first Ark Valley League champion football
team under Curtis Fischer. He played football for the University of
Kansas Jayhawks. He enjoyed playing golf.
Other survivors include: one son, Todd
Carlos Mellott of Rockville, Md.,; one daughter, Adriana Maria
Mellott of Rockville, Md., and two sisters, Marilyn Baird of Illinois
and Carol Emerson of Wichita.
Memorial services were today at
Westmoreland Congregational United Church of Christ in Bethesda, Md.
Memorials have been established with an
educational fund for his children made payable to Kathy Mellott and
sent to Annet Mitten, 913 Twin Oaks Drive, Rockville, MD 20854.
