Arthur Joseph Villar
SCOTTS BLUFF, Neb. -- Arthur Joseph
Villar, 66, died Monday (Aug. 17, 1998) at 2124 South Osage in
Wichita.
He was born July 17, 1932, in Peabody
to Gerado and Florentina (Mata) Villar. He married Florinda Gallardo
on Aug. 6, 1970, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scotts
Bluff, Neb. She survives of Scotts Bluff, Neb.
He retired from Heilbruns Parts in
Scotts Bluff, Neb. He also worked several years for Dalton's Auto and
10 years of service at Aulick Trucking, both of Scotts Bluff.
He was a member of Our Lady of
Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scotts Bluff, Neb. He enjoyed cooking
and was known as the burrito man.
Other survivors include: two sons,
Arthur G. Villar of Scotts Bluff, Neb., and Arthur J. Villar Jr., of
Wichita; six daughters, Guadalupe Villar and Margarita Calderon, both
of Scotts Bluff, Neb., Mary Villar and Christine Villar, both of
Wichita and Renee Villar and Vicki, both of Sacramento, Calif.; four
brothers, Augustine Villar, Joe Villar and William Villar, all of
Wichita and Hildo Villar of Newton; two step-sons, Paul Delgado and
Robert Delgado, both of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, Marjorie
Fisher and Lorenza Kennedy, both of Wichita, and Augustina Gamboa of
Kanorado; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Guadalupe Macias.
Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. today
at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel led by Father John Hotze. Graveside
services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery
with Father John Hotze from Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in
Newton officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at
Petersen Funeral Home.
