Robert Charles "Bob" Davis

TOPEKA -- Robert Charles "Bob" Davis, 67, of Topeka, died Wednesday (Aug. 26, 1998) at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.

He was born May 11, 1931, in Kansas City, Mo., to Marshall "Jack" and Hazel (McMullen) Davis. He married Carolyn K. Nelson. They divorced. He married Betsy Degginger-Fieger Aug. 1, 1986, in Topeka. She survives.

He was raised in Newton. He was a 1949 graduate of Newton High School and received a degree in architectural engineering from The University of Kansas in 1959. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he was pilot during the Korean Conflict. He was an architect. He worked the past four years for DeVore and Associates in Ottawa. He was a member of The University of Kansas Alumni Association, Delta Upsilon Fraternity at the university, Countryside United Methodist Church and the American Institute of Architects.

Other survivors include: two sons, Michael W. Davis of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Tyler J. Davis of Topeka; two daughters, Kelly A. Schaumburg of Lawrence and Courtney L. Brungardt of Westwood; two step-daughters, Erin E. Fieger-Schraad of Topeka and Kimberly N. Eubank of Manneheim, Germany; seven grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Visitation was Sunday. Funeral Services were Monday at Countryside United Methodist Church. Interment was in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Tyler Davis Educational Fund and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 W. Sixth St., Topeka, KS 66603.
