Leo H. Hostetler
HESSTON -- Leo H. Hostetler, 92,
formerly of Harper, died Friday (Sept. 4, 1998) at Schowalter Villa
in Hesston.
He was born Sept. 21, 1905, in Conway
to Henry E. and Salome (Slabach) Hostetler. He was a retired dairy
farmer. He married Myrtle Weaver in Harper. She preceded him in death
on March 9, 1997. They lived in Harper before moving to Hesston in
1978. He was a member of Hesston Mennonite Church.
Survivors include: four sons, Dwight
Hostetler of Harper, Keith Hostetler of Columbus, Ind., Merle
Hostetler of Elkhart, Ind., and Bruce Hostetler of West Linn, Ore.;
three daughters, Ardyth Steckly of Hutchinson, Joyce Landgraf of
Fayetteville, Ark., and Lorna Osborne of Goshen, Ind.; two brothers,
Amra Hostetler of Harper and Pius Hostetler of Opelousas, La.; one
sister, Juanita Ramer of Canby, Ore.; 17 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church in Harper with Rev. Royce
Vogt officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m.
Monday at Miller Funeral Home in Hesston. A memorial has been
established with Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church.
