Marie A. Fluke
Marie A. Fluke, 93, 1035 S.E. Third,
homemaker, died Thursday (Sept. 10, 1998) at Kansas Christian Home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1904, in
Winfield to William and Doretta (Hessterberg) Budde. She married Fred
Fluke on May 28, 1930, in Newton. He preceded her in death June 5,
1966.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran
Church in Newton. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include: three brothers,
Albert Budde, Frank Budde and Elmer Budde, all of Newton; one sister,
Caroline Buss of Newton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also
was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Budde, Carl Budde and
Oscar Budde; and four sisters, Olga Karter, Frieda Winter, Velma
Budde and Eleanora Budde.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in Newton with the Rev. Ronald Gloe
officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may
call from 5 to 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5
p.m. Sunday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
Kansas Christian Home in care of the funeral home.
