Enes Arellano
Enes Arellano, 68, 622 W. 10th, crane
operator for the Sante Fe Railmill in Newton, died Saturday (Sept.
19, 1998) at his residence.
He was born Jan. 28, 1930, in Newton to
Mariano and Juana (Ladisma) Arellano. He married Natalia Estrada
April 15, 1950, in Newton. She preceded him in death Sept. 23, 1957.
He was a member of Our Lady Of
Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton. He was employed at the Santa Fe
Railmill for 33 years. He was inducted into Newton's Mexican-American
48th Annual Hall of Fame in Newton.
Survivors include: one son, Antonio
"Tony" Arellano of Newton; four daughters, Rita Hinojos and
Juanita Rosalez, both of Newton and Mary Morales and Patricia Tello,
both of Watonga, Okla.; one brother, Anselmo "Sam" Arellano
of Helotes, Texas; one sister, Elaria Carrion of Newton; 18
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in
death by nine brothers and sisters; and two granddaughters.
Rosary service will be at 7 p.m.
Tuesday at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral mass will
be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Father John Hotze
officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may
call until 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway
Colonial Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
Central Homecare and Hospice or National Kidney Foundation of Kansas
in care of the funeral home.
