Clifford Harris
DENTON, Texas -- Clifford Harris, 88,
retired welder, died Thursday (Sept. 17, 1998) following a short
illness at his home in Denton.
He was born Oct. 14, 1909, in Kewanee,
Ill., to Charles and Elizabeth Harris. He married Hazel Pulaski. She
preceded him in death.
He was a lifetime Newton resident.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jerry
Evans and Jody Smiley, both of Denton, Texas; two sisters, Esther
Gazaway of Redding, Calif., and Ruthie Luff of Evergreen, Colo.; two
grandsons, Miles Newberry of Denton and Anthony Evans of Buffalo,
Texas; two great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also
was preceded in death by one daughter, Deloras Harris; and four
brothers, George Harris, Herb Harris, Paul Harris and Burto Harris.
Burial arrangements will be announced
later.
