William S. Gregory
HESSTON -- William S. Gregory, 91,
retired salesman from Peel's Beauty Supply Co. since 1971, died
Monday (Sept. 28, 1998) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
He was born Sept. 26, 1907, in Atlanta
to Isaac and Clara Belle (Murphy) Gregory. He married Elva Will
Wallace March 9, 1969, in Newton. She preceded him in death Dec. 5,
1992.
He was a member of First United
Methodist Church, Shriners and Isis Temple. He was an avid golfer and
fisherman.
Survivors include: two sons, Jack
Gregory of Waynesville, Mo., and Gary Gregory of Overland Park; four
daughters, Billie Jean Davis of Leon, Patricia Ottaway of Wichita,
Roxann King of Hodgenville, Ky., and Teri Dick of Germantown, Wis.;
one brother, Glen Gregory of Wichita; 15 grandchildren; and 14
great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by one sister,
Bonnie Reder.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m.
Friday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Keating
from First United Methodist Church in Newton officiating. Graveside
service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Atlanta Cemetery in
Atlanta. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday with family
greeting friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
American Cancer Society and Hickory Homes in care of the funeral
home.
