Gladys Y. Murray
HESSTON -- Gladys Y. Murray, 88,
retired owner and manager of a grocery store in California, died
Sunday (Oct. 4, 1998) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
She was born June 30, 1910, in
Fallbrook, Calif., to Arthur and Jennie (Edingburg) Young. She
married Bill J. Murray Sr., on Nov. 14, 1928, in Hollywood, Calif. He
preceded her in death April 7, 1967.
She moved to Augusta in 1995 and then
to Hesston in 1997.
Survivors include: three daughters,
Neva Brush of Cathedral City, Calif., Trudie Hagerman of Augusta and
Pat Busby of Salem, Ore.; one brother, Jack V. Young of Pasadena,
Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two
sons, Bill Murray Jr., and Tom Murray.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at Hesston Cemetery with the Rev. Mary Dyck officiating.
Memorials have been established with
Schowalter Villa in care of Miller Funeral Home in Hesston.
