Loless Shields
Loless D. Shields, 74, of Hesston died
Thursday (Oct. 8, 1998) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston, where she had
been a resident since 1994.
She was born July 31, 1924, at
Tuscaloosa, Ala., to Henry D. Hill and Bessie Lee Davis Hill. She was
raised in Alabama, where she attended Mount Pleasant School in
Clinton, Ala.
In January 1945, she married Alden
Pearce Nossaman in Phoenix. They made their home in Clinton from 1945
to 1946 and then moved to Kansas. They moved to Wichita in 1946.
Alden died Feb. 20, 1966.
She later married Arthur Benjamin Good
in 1964 in Enid, Okla. They made their home in Wichita.
Later, she married LeeRoy A. Shields
Sept. 29, 1969, in Benton County, Ark. They made their home in
Lewisville, Colo., shortly before returning to Wichita, where she
worked at the Small Fry Grill for 15 years. They moved to Schowalter
Villa in Hesston November 1994. He died Sept. 2, 1996.
She also was preceded in death by her
parents and one son, Edgar Alden Nossaman, in 1950.
Survivors include: four daughters,
Jinnie Berry of Hesston, Deaneen Wade of Halstead, Darlene Hall of
Atlanta, Kan., and Beth Boyd of Lewisville, Texas; seven
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.
Monday at the Ebersole Mortuary Chapel in Conway Springs with Pastor
Roger Ericksten of the Halstead Baptist Church officiating. Interment
will be in Conway Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ebersole
Mortuary in Conway Springs.
