Betty Lou Mildred Cornelius

WHITEWATER -- Betty Lou Mildred Cornelius, 67, of Augusta, retired nurse, died Sunday (Nov. 1, 1998) at Wichita.

She was born July 12, 1931, in Latham to James A. and Nellie Irene (Snyder) Boyer.

She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church and The American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include: two sons, Robert W. Cornelius of El Dorado and Randy Cornelius of Whitewater; three daughters, Sharlene Cook and Karen Patterson, both of Augusta and Carol Altay of Grapevine, Texas; one brother, Charles Boyer of Peabody; six sisters, Etta Mae Brant and Laura Benoir, both of Augusta, Dorothy Love of Howard, Edith Smith of Longton, Virginia Hill of Clinton, Mo., and Verna Nevaro of Pittsburg, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at The Federated Church in Whitewater. Burial will be in the Whitewater Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with family greeting friends from 7 to 9 p.m., both today and Tuesday at Bob Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater.

Memorials have been established with Kansas Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
