Evalyn M. Miller
SOUTH HUTCHINSON -- Evalyn M. Miller,
96, of Mennonite Friendship Manor, died Thursday (Oct. 29, 1998) at
Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born July 23, 1902, in Aurora,
Ill., to Archie M. and Jennie (Davis) Brown. She married Herman O.
Miller June 1, 1927, in Newton. He preceded her in death Nov. 20,
1986.
She was a resident of Mennonite
Friendship Manor since 1990. She had been a Partridge community
resident most of her life. She was a graduate of Newton High School
and attended Bethel College. She taught at Preston Elementary School
from 1927 to 1929 and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Partridge
Community Church and O.E.S. of Pratt.
Survivors include: two foster children,
Claire and Donna Magnuson, both of Partridge; one sister-in-law,
Margaret M. Hill of Partridge; five foster-grandchildren; 12
foster-great-grandchildren; and four
foster-great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by
one sister, Irene Brown.
Funeral services were today at Elliott
Chapel in Hutchinson with Pastor Pam Tinnin officiating.
Memorials have been established with
Partridge Community Church or Mennonite Friendship Manor in care of
Elliott Chapel.
