Elsa Mathilda Nygaard
Elsa Mathilda Nygaard, 72, 1212 Grove
Ave., former bank teller, died Monday (Nov. 9, 1998) at Schowalter
Villa in Hesston.
She was born Feb. 24, 1926, in Mott,
N.D., to Michael and Mathilda (Mann) Fielder. She married Harry
Andrew Nygaard Dec. 21, 1943, in Hastings, Neb. He preceded her in
death.
She was an avid bowler, golfer and
bingo player.
Survivors include: two sons, David
Nygaard of Newton and Joe M. Nygaard of Buck Eye, Ariz.; one
daughter, Joette Speake of Coal Strip, Mont.; two brothers, Gus
Fielder and John Fielder, both of Mott, N.D.; one sister, Pauline
Ross of Mott, N.D.; and six grandchildren. She also was preceded in
death by her parents.
Funeral service will be at First United
Church of Christ in Mott, N.D., with service time pending. Burial
will be in the Sunny Slope Cemetery in Mott, N.D.
Memorials have been established with
First United Church of Christ in Mott, N.D., in care of Petersen
Funeral Home.
