George Loewe, 89, retired carpenter,
died Wednesday (Nov. 11, 1998) at Presbyterian Manor in Newton.

George F. Loewe
George F. Loewe, 89, 1200 E. Seventh,
died Wednesday (Nov. 11, 1998) at Presbyterian Manor in Newton.
He was born Sept. 20, 1909, in Beemer,
Neb., to August F. and Maria (Ott) Loewe. He married Esther Schriever
Aug. 14, 1932. She survives of Newton.
He was a carpenter and woodworker for
J.W. Wood Products in Newton, retiring in 1971. He was a member of
the Zion Lutheran Church in Newton. He Lived in Newton since 1936.
Since 1992 he lived at 115 W. Ninth, Apt. 214, then moved to
Presbyterian Manor Nov. 6, 1998.
Other survivors include: two daughters,
Phyllis Hillesheim of Palatine, Ill., and Alice Loewe of Laredo,
Texas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday
at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ronald F. Gloe officiating.
Burial will be in the Restlawn Garden's of Memory. Friends may call
from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday with family greeting friends from 3 to 5 p.m.
Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home.
