Maybelle K. Plummer

Maybelle K. Plummer, 99, homemaker, died Thursday (Nov. 26, 1998) at Friendly Acres Retirement Community.

She was born Sept. 5, 1899, in Newton to Charles A. and Eva (Tingley) Kinnear. She married Frank Bryan Plummer March 10, 1926, in Newton. He preceded her in death June 27, 1976.

She was a member of Newton Assembly No. 6, First United Presbyterian Church in Newton and life member of Social Order of Beauceant. She had a hat shop in Newton with the Marietta Shop in the 600 block of North Main.

Survivors include nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. James Anderson from First United Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
