Martha Jane Hiebert
Obituary
GOESSEL - Martha Jane Hiebert, 98,
passed away on March 4, 2014, at Bethesda Home, Goessel.
She was born Aug. 16, 1915, in Reno
County, the daughter of Henry and Matilda Ewy Hubin. She worked as a
nurse at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge, and had been the owner/operator
of the Redwood Inn, Burrton.
On Sept. 17, 1934, she married Robert
Vogt in rural Moundridge. He passed away in 1982. On Sept. 10, 1983,
she married Paul Hiebert. He passed away August 2013.
Survivors include one brother, Leslie
Hubin of Moundridge; two nieces, Beverly Stroud of Abilene, and Emily
(Ron) Sundquist of Moundridge; stepchildren, Don (June) Hiebert,
Norman (Marcia) Hiebert, John (Bertha) Hiebert, Mary (Larry)
Lindeman, and Bonnie (Sid) Ratzlaff, all of Goessel; and numerous
step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, great-nieces and
great-nephews.
Graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m.
Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Garden Community Church Cemetery, rural
Moundridge, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. Saturday,
March 8, 2014, at the Goessel Mennonite Church, Goessel, with Pastor
Brad Penner officiating. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8
p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at Bethesda Home Chapel, Goessel.
