Julia 'Judy' S. Jaso
Julia "Judy" S. Jaso, 46,
retired medical assistant with Wichita Clinic-Bethel, died Thursday
(Dec. 24, 1998) at Newton Medical Center.
She was born May 26, 1952, in Newton to
Juan L. and Georgia C. (Corona) Arellano. Her father preceded her in
death in 1982. Her mother survives. She married Manuel Jaso Sept. 10,
1977. He survives.
She was a member of Our Lady of
Guadalupe Catholic Church of Newton, the Mexican Fiesta committee and
the Mexican-American Bowling Association.
Other survivors include: two sons,
Christopher Jaso and Nicholas Jaso II, both of Newton; four brothers,
Edwardo Arellano of Tonkawa, Okla., Jesse Arellano, Robert Arellano
and Thomas Arellano, all of Newton; three sisters, Vera Macias and
Rosa Johnson, both of Sacramento, Calif., and Sara Calvillo of San
Jose, Calif.; two step-sisters, Bonnie Hernandez of Overland Park and
Judy Sanchez of Kansas City, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Our
Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton. Funeral services will be
at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Father John Hotze officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Newton.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m.
Sunday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway Colonial Funeral
Home.
