George B Herbison

George B. Herbison, 63, of Newton, died Monday (Jan. 18, 1999) at Newton Medical Center. 

He was born May 23, 1935 in Beaumont to Merl B. and Martha L. (Lister) Herbison. He was working in maintenance at Slate Creek Apartments in Newton. He moved from rural Burns to Newton in May 1973. Survivors include: companion, Diane Blair of Newton; one son, Steven Herbison of Walton; one daughter, Kathy Sparks of Turon; one brother, William Herbison of El Dorado; three sisters, Eva May Fritchman of El Dorado, Ann Golden of Wichita and Elizabeth Pore of Canton; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Interment will follow at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado. Friends may call from until 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Thursday at Carlson Funeral Home.
