Jean Lander

Jean Lander, 91, 1200 E. Seventh, died Tuesday (Jan. 19, 1999) at Newton Medical Center.

She was born July 23, 1907, to George William and Agnes Louise (Grey) Bertram. She married Jack Lander in 1932 in Topeka. He preceded her in death Nov. 22, 1994. She was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Newton, and she was a homemaker. Survivors include two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Beverly Sifers Dec. 7, 1997. Funeral services are pending at St. Matthew's with the Rev. Joyce W. Holmes presiding. Service times will be announced later by Petersen Funeral Home. Memorials have been established with St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in care of the funeral
