Myrtle Wolfe

GOESSEL -- Myrtle Wolfe, 96, of Goessel died Wednesday (Jan. 20, 1999) at the Bethesda Home in Goessel. She was born July 16, 1902 in Harvey County to John J. and Effie (Unruh) Becker. On June 8, 1933 she married Arthur L. Wolfe. He died June 28, 1961. They lived in Newton until 1940 when they moved to California. She returned to Newton in 1983 and moved to Goessel in 1997. She was a member of the Koerner Heights Mennonite Brethren Church in Newton. Survivors include a sister, Sadie Unruh of Goessel and numerous nieces and nephews. Three sons died in infancy.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Miller Funeral Home in Goessel with the Rev. David Plett officiating. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery. Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday. A memorial has been establish for the Bethesda Home in Goessel.
