Alfred R. Knott

LAVERNE, Calif. -- Alfred R. Knott, 83, formerly of Newton and Hesston, died Wednesday (Jan. 20, 1999) at his home in LaVerne, Calif. He was born Dec. 22, 1915, in Newton. He married Dorothy May March Aug. 12, 1940. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Richard Henry Knott of Newton and Thomas R. Knott of LaVerne, Calif.; one daughter, Kathleen M. Knott of LaHabra, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hills Mortuary in Whittier, Calif. Memorials may be sent to American Cancer Society.
