Myrtle Alicia 'Greep' MacDonald

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Myrtle Alicia "Greep" MacDonald, 82, retired secretary and bookkeeper, died Nov. 9, 1998, in Oakland, Calif. She was born Nov. 6, 1916, in Whitewater to William J. and Mary A. (Burke) Greep. She resided in California most of her adult life. Cremation took place in California. Survivors include: three sisters, Clara Gronau of Newton, Josephine Washburn of Paola and Frances Hutson of Gainsville, Fla.; one granddaughter of California; 10 nieces; and nine nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, James MacDonald; two brothers, William Greep and Theodore Greep; and six sisters, Anna West, Mary Croft, Ethel Greep, Helen Canedy, Agnes Pate and Lucille Resnik. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Newton with Father Ken Schuckman from St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Memorials have been established with St. Mary's Catholic Church in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
