Earl W. Romig

Earl W. Romig, 90, formerly of Hoisington, retired foreman of the supply department with Missouri Pacific Railroad, died Friday (Feb. 5, 1999) at Friendly Acres Retirement Center. He was born Jan. 7, 1909, in Pettis County, Mo., to August Alfred and Emma Mabel (Oliver) Romig. He married Phyllis Dency McCampbell Jan. 7, 1937, in Windsor, Mo. She survives of the home. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Hoisington. He lived in Hoisington until 1956, moving to Sedalia-Windsor, Mo. area. Other survivors include: one daughter, Phyllis Schneider of Concordia; one sister, Edna Louise Burlingame of Sedalia, Mo.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Hoisington with the Rev. Wayne Flanders officiating. Burial will be in the Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may call until 5 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington and from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church. Memorials have been established with Friendly Acres Retirement Center, New Bethel United Methodist Church in Sedalia, Mo., or United Methodist Church in Windsor, Mo., in care of the funeral home.
