Tomasa M. Moreno

Tomasa M. Moreno, 78, 200 S.W. 14th, former nurse aid at Bethel Deaconess Home, died today (Feb. 9, 1999) at Friendly Acres Retirement Community. She was born Dec. 20, 1920, in Florence to Perfecto and Benita (Mendoza) Campa. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Altar Guild and Legion of Mary, both of the church, and Francisco I, Modero Society. Survivors include one brother, Diego Campa of Newton, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Pete Campa; and one sister, Donciana Hernandez. Rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church with Father John Hotze officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Memorials have been established with Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
